JAKARTA Realme is increasingly heating up competition ahead of the launch of the Realme GT 8 series in October. According to leaked from Realme Vice President Wang Wei, as well as Digital Chat Station (DCS) tips, the standard GT 8 variant will carry Pro class specifications which are usually only present in flagship models.

One of the main highlights came from the performance of the device. Realme GT 8 reportedly recorded a fantastic AnTuTu score, reaching 3,322,942 points, thanks to the Snapdragon 8 Elite runway combined with a special display processor. This figure confirms the ability of GT 8 as a gaming phone as well as a very powerful multitasking.

From the screen side, Realme GT 8 will use a 2K OLED panel with a refresh rate of 144Hz, the same as the one used in GT 8 Pro. This panel supports global peak brightness 2000 nits as well as 4000-nit brightness display technology, allowing 20 percent of the screen area to reach extreme brightness when used outdoors. Not only that, Realme also embeds the latest touch control chips with instant sampling rates of up to 3200Hz and 360Hz multi-finger touch rates, so that screen responses while playing the game become more precise.

For design, GT 8 will come with a frozen metal frame, a glass back panel, and a rounding R-angle angle so that it is more comfortable to hold. The security system is also upgraded through support for 3D ultrasonic fingerprint, providing better accuracy and speed than ordinary optical sensors.

Another leak states that this device will probably carry a jumbo 7,000mAh battery and run Realme UI 7.0 based on Android 16. If true, this capacity will be one of the largest in the current flagship class.

Meanwhile, Realme has confirmed that GT 8 Pro will come as the first mobile phone in India with the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset. However, it remains unclear whether the standard GT 8 variant will also be available globally or only marketed in China.

With a combination of advanced screens, monster performance, and large batteries, Realme GT 8 clearly prepared a big surprise at the premium smartphone market later this year.
