114 Teams Enter Regional Stage At The Garena Youth Championship 2025 Tournament

JAKARTA - After going through a series of City Qualifiers in 82 cities and Online Qualifiers with a total of more than 15,000 registrant teams, Garena Youth Championship (GYC) Free Fire 2025 officially entered the Regional Stage round.

This round will start on September 30, where a representative team from various schools in Indonesia will fight for tickets to the Grand Finals which will be present on November 29, 2025.

Previously, more than 15,000 teams had signed up and participated in the City Qualifiers and Online Qualifiers round for 9 August-21 September 2025.

Of the thousands of participants, 144 of the best teams from 12 regions will compete in the Regional Stage to compete for tickets to the Grand Finals in Jakarta on November 29, 2025. The twelve regions are:

The Regional Stage Round will be present on September 30-23 October 2025 as the final qualifying round for the Grand Finals round. A total of 12 teams will be taken from champions in each region to compete in the 2025 Grand Finals of the GYC Free Fire in Jakarta on November 29, 2025.

As the largest student esport tournament in Indonesia since 2023, the GYC has received support from the Ministry of Education, Basic and Secondary (Kemendikdasmen RI), the Ministry of Youth and Sports (Kemenpora RI), and the Executive Board of Indonesian Esports (PBESI).

The GYC is also the pioneer of esports tournaments that prioritize the balance of academic values with the world of esports. This tournament is the only esports competition that uses the minimum academic value as a condition of participation.

This year, the GYC Free Fire again presents a valuable opportunity for students to show their abilities, achievements, as well as get a total prize of IDR 275,000,000 in education funds and scholarships at Ciputra University with a total value of IDR 21 billion.
