JAKARTA Qualcomm Technologies announced the launch of its two newest processors, namely Snapdragon X2 Elite Extreme and Snapdragon X2 Elite. Both are designed for efficient PC Windows needs.

"We continue to push for technological innovation restrictions, introducing breakthrough products that set new industrial standards," said Senior Vice President and General Manager of Computing and Gaming Qualcomm Technologies Kedar Kondap, quoted on Thursday, September 25.

The Snapdragon X2 Elite Series is claimed to be the fastest processor for current Windows PCs. With the design of the ultra-premium PC, the X2 Elite Extreme is capable of handling heavy workloads such as professional editing and intensive data analysis.

This processor uses the 3rd Generation Qualcomm Oryon CPU which offers performance of up to 75 percent faster than competitors. This advantage is achieved with extraordinary power efficiency.

In addition, the use of the Qualcomm Adreno GPU provides better performance per watt. This architecture is called 2.3 times more efficient in terms of power than the previous generation. Another advantage is the use of Qualcomm Hexagon NPU with 80 TOPS AI processing.

This makes it the fastest NPU in the world for laptops. This NPU is designed to support the Copilot+ feature and various other Artificial Intelligence (AI)-based features simultaneously. Users can enjoy these features, even on thin and lightweight PCs.

Snapdragon X2 Elite also supports multi-tasking use. This processor offers 31 percent faster performance and requires up to 43 percent less power than the previous generation.

Even though it has been launched, no PC has adopted this processor yet. The device powered by the Snapdragon X2 Elite is expected to be available on the market in the first half of next year.
