JAKARTA Within days of the launch of iOS 26.1 beta 1 for developers, Apple has finally launched the operating system (OS) in the public version. Now, the update is wider.

This update presents a series of long-awaited new features and improvements. Through the launch of OS in this public beta version, Apple will receive more input from its users.

In this update, Apple presents a number of interesting features, one of which is the support of five new languages for the AirPods Live Translation feature. This feature is here to help users who travel or communicate with people from various countries.

In addition, Apple Intelligence is also experiencing an update. The innovation is now available in eight new languages. This makes Apple's Artificial Intelligence (AI) feature more inclusive and accessible to more users around the world.

Next, there is an update for Apple Music and the Photo app. Apple Music now has a new sliding gesture to change track. Meanwhile, the Photo app gets a redesigned video playback scrub to make navigation easier.

Not only iOS, Apple also released a public beta version for iPadOS 26.1, macOS Tahoe 26.1, and more. In iPadOS, major updates also lie in adding Apple Intelligence.

Some apps also get an interface upgrade. On Safari, downloads will appear in a pop-up window in the middle of the screen, while the calendar will feature a full-width color design for all events in the list view.
