Komdigi Ensures Data Security For The Social Security Digitization System

JAKARTA - The Ministry of Communication and Digital Affairs emphasized that it will ensure data security and governance through the use of artificial intelligence (AI) in the implementation of a trial project for the social protection digitization system (Perlinsos).

The system will be the main entry point for data on prospective recipients of social assistance (bansos) that are integrated with various government systems.

Director of Applications of the Digital Government, Directorate General of Digital Government Technology of the Ministry of Communication and Industry, Yessi Arnaz Ferari, said that the Perlinsos digitization system is supported by the Government Service Liaison System (SPLP), a system developed to integrate applications and inter-institutional data.

The SPLP function is to operate data to make it more valid, standardized, and efficient. With SPLP, there is only one hub to connect various applications so that services are more effective," Yessi explained in its official broadcast.

In addition to data integration, Yessi emphasized that personal data protection (PDP) will also be the government's top priority in this social assistance program.

Kemkomdigi ensures data security in three phases: when stored (at rest), when sent (in transit), and when used (at use). All stages are guarded by strict security standards and regulatory compliance," he added.

Komdigi also encourages the use of Artificial Intelligence (AI) and machine learning to accelerate the process of targeting social assistance.

The initial stage is to compile a targeting algorithm. Once clear, AI will help process large amounts of data. The simple application that is already running is a face recognition for the verification of the recipient's identity," said Yessi.

However, he added, the success of implementing the digitalization of Perlinsos requires collaboration across ministries and institutions.
