Xiaomi Will Release Redmi K Pad Globally With The Name Pad Mini

JAKARTA Xiaomi will reportedly launch a concise tablet for its international market in the near future. The company will launch Redmi K Pad, but under different names.

Redmi K Pad was first launched in China at the end of last June. If the global launch rumors are true, the Android-based tablet will be released under the name Xiaomi Pad Mini, a name chosen to strengthen its branding globally.

Apart from names, this tablet will not change much. Xiaomi Pad Mini is expected to maintain all the same specifications as Redmi K Pad. Consumers outside China will be able to enjoy the same device.

Launching from Gizmochina, Xiaomi Pad Mini is likely to be released later this month. Some leaks stated that this tablet will launch on September 24, along with the launch of Xiaomi 15T.

In terms of specifications, this device comes with an 8.8-inch LCD screen with a 2.5K resolution. This screen offers a smooth visualization with a refresh rate of 165Hz. Xiaomi Pad Mini will be powered by a MediaTek Dimensity 9900+ processor.

In addition, this tablet will have a 7,500mAh battery that supports 67W fast charging. The Xiaomi Pad Mini is equipped with a 13MP rear camera and an 8MP front camera. From the software side, this tablet will run HyperOS 2 based on Android 15.

Xiaomi Pad Mini can be a competitor to Apple iPad Mini and Astra RedMagic tablets in the international market. Although it doesn't have some luxurious features like the OLED screen, it can excel in terms of more affordable prices.
