SIS Supports AI Technology Adoption In Optimizing More Affordable International Education

JAKARTA SIS Group of Schools collaborates with Cambridge International Education in optimizing international education in Indonesia. Through this partnership, SIS wants to make education more affordable.

This initiative began with a discussion between the Founder and Chairman of SIS, Jaspal Sidhu, and the Management Group Director of Cambridge, Rod Smith, some time ago. After the meeting, Cambridge conducted an independent review at several SIS schools in Indonesia.

The main results from the review highlight several key points. One of them is the operational efficiency of SIS that is intelligent in managing learning and resources, so that costs can be reduced without compromising quality.

Although SIS seeks to provide affordable international education for many people, they remain focused on the technological needs of their students. Jaspal Sidhu stated that SIS is aware of the importance of technology adoption in today's digitalization era.

Jaspal said that SIS had implemented several Artificial Intelligence (AI) technologies into their education curriculum. In fact, SIS also utilizes support technology such as Virtual Reality (VR).

"AI is a system that we all know about," said Jaspal in a statement received by VOI on Monday, September 8. "AI seems to summarize all the best on the internet and (technology) actually provides instant information for students."

Although AI is considered efficient by helping students in gathering information, SIS does not forget the role of teachers. This implementation will certainly not shift the role of teachers or schools. On the other hand, the role of schools becomes more vital.

"The most important thing is how these students can ask the right question or give the right briefing to technology (AI)," said Jaspal. According to him, if the questions given are not right, the answers resulting will also be wrong.

Therefore, teachers have an important role in guiding their students in using technology during learning. This emphasizes that technology is a supporting factor, while humans remain the main driver.

This statement shows that SIS continues to prioritize modern technology-based education despite operational efficiency. Jaspal stated that they managed to reduce costs through the 'Half-Fees' model which had already received an award.
