Meizu 22 Launched September 15, Screen Specifications, Chipsets, And Official Cameras Revealed

JAKARTA - Meizu has officially announced that its newest generation flagship smartphone, Meizu 22, will launch in China on September 15. The launch event will take place at the company's headquarters in Zhuhai, where it is also expected to introduce new ecosystem products. After months of speculation, the company has now revealed the design and key features of the device.

Meizu 22 will come with a screen measuring 6.32 inches, which is described as the ideal measure between the compact form and the immersive display experience. The device is powered by the Snapdragon 8s Gen 4 platform, with a custom tuning for game playing stability.

Meizu features AI-based One Mind optimization machines, 72-month smooth certification of TryptoV Rheinland, as well as the recognition of smooth S-class games, all of which promise reliable performance for long-term use. In addition, this phone is equipped with a 4,500mm2 vapor room cooling system, one of the largest in its class, in order to maintain efficiency when carrying out heavy tasks.

For photography, Meizu 22 is equipped with a 50-megapixel OmniVision OV50D front camera. On the back, there is a three-lens configuration consisting of a 50-megapixel OmniVision OV50H main sensor with OIS, a 50-megapixel telescope camera Sony IMX882 with OIS support, and a 50-megapixel OV50D ultra-wide lens.

On the software side, there are AI-based image processing features such as one-click filter extraction that allows users to produce unique visual effects instantly.

Meizu also pays special attention to the physical design of Meizu 22. This phone weighs 190 grams, 8.15 mm thickness, and 71 mm wide which is designed to provide comfort in handhelds. The front uses a slightly curved 2.5D screen, while the back has a curved 3D design for balance when held.

This device also introduces innovative floating back covers and fully symmetric layouts with 0.8 mm uniform bezels. Interestingly, Meizu 22 is the only flagship that presents white bezel panels, giving a different look than its competitors.
