Condolences, Grab And Gojek Compactly Change Their Social Media Profile Photos To Black

JAKARTA - Grab and Gojek Indonesia are compact to change their profile photos of their social media accounts to black, as a form of condolences for the incident that befell online motorcycle taxi drivers at the DPR's salary increase demonstration on Thursday, August 28.

The profile photo changes to black appear on the official channels of the two companies, from Instagram, X (Twitter), to Facebook.

This step was taken shortly after the sad news about a fellow driver who died circulated widely on social media.

The two companies have also expressed concern about the incident, and are committed to providing full support to the families of the victims.

Our main focus right now is to provide full support for fellow drivers and affected families. For us, every partner is an important part of the ojol extended family," said Grab Indonesia Chief of Public Affairs, Lord R. Munusamy.

Meanwhile, the Director of Public Affairs & Communications of PT GoTo Gojek Tokopedia Tbk (GOTO), Ade Mulya also said, Gojek has assisted in providing ambulance facilities, autopsy and post-mortem processes, and will provide compensation for the victims' families as a form of support.

"We are committed to continuing to assist the victim's family and provide the best efforts we can make while continuing to coordinate with the authorities regarding the handling of this incident." he continued.
