JAKARTA - Grab Indonesia expresses its deep concern over the incident involving a fellow online motorcycle taxi driver who died during a House of Representatives (DPR) wage increase demonstration on Thursday, August 28th.
Tirza R. Munusamy, Chief of Public Affairs, Grab Indonesia, expressed Grab's commitment to providing full support to all its partners.
"Our main focus right now is to provide full support to our fellow drivers and their affected families. For us, every partner is an important part of the extended motorcycle taxi (ojol) family," Tirza said in a statement.
While they understand that no amount can compensate for the tragedy, Tirza added that Grab will provide concrete assistance in the form of full support and compensation to the families of the affected driver partners.
"Both the Grab partner who is currently being treated (Moh Umar Amarudin) and the motorcycle taxi partner registered with Grab who passed away (Affan Kurniawan)," she added.
