JAKARTA - Google announced two important updates to NotebookLM: Video Overview, now available in 80 languages worldwide, and an improved Audio Overview.
Video Overview was first launched last month. This feature allows users to get a concise video presentation of their notebook's contents.
With the addition of more languages, this feature can be helpful for a wide range of groups, from students and researchers to independent learners. With multilingual support, Video Overview can now be accessed more widely according to the user's language preference.
Meanwhile, Audio Overview has also received significant improvements. Previously only a short summary, Audio Overview is now available in more than 80 languages in a longer version with the same depth, structure, and nuance as English.
Users will get a more comprehensive and connected discussion, so they can understand the main ideas from various sources without missing important details. However, the short summary option remains available for quick use.
"And for those times when you're in a hurry, you can still create a shorter overview to capture the highlights," wrote Google.
This update is available to all NotebookLM users today and will roll out globally in the coming week.
