JAKARTA - Tether, one of the largest digital asset companies in the world, officially appointed the Executive Director of the Board of Crypto at the White House of Bo Hines as Strategic Advisor to Digital Assets and Strategies of the United States.

In its official announcement, Tether CEO Paolo Ardoino said that the appointment of Bo Hines was an important strategy in strengthening the company's expansion in the US.

"Bo's appointment demonstrates our commitment to building a strong US-based presence that covers various sectors, ranging from digital assets to new opportunities," said Ardoino.

According to him, Hines' deep understanding of the legislative process, combined with his desire for blockchain practical adoption, makes Hines in line with Tether's commitment to entering the world's largest market.

During his tenure under Donald Trump, Hines played a role in encouraging innovation of digital assets, clarifying stablecoin regulations, and strengthening cooperation between the government and the blockchain industry.

In its new role, Hines will work closely with the leadership of Tether to build relations with regulators, policymakers, and industry players in the US.

Tether itself has re-invested nearly $5 billion in the US ecosystem, and the designation is referred to as strengthening the company's commitment to the market.
