JAKARTA OpenAI has launched its newest artificial intelligence (AI) model on August 7, 2025, namely GPT-5. This model is widely available and can be accessed on the ChatGPT application and website.
Even though it has been released, access to this AI model is still limited in several devices for now. For example, the integration of ChatGPT on Apple Intelligence that has been felt by a number of Apple product users.
For now, this integration still relies on the GPT-4o model. Some other Apple Intelligence features such as Visuals that are similar to Google Lens are also still using the AI model.
However, this will change after Apple's operating system (OS) is launched in the fall of this year. Apple confirmed that users cannot access GPT-5 until its latest OS is released.
