JAKARTA - Google has expanded its AI Mode capabilities on desktop, by presenting the ability for users to upload their PDF files.
With this new capability, users can summarize and ask for the contents of the document directly. This feature begins to roll out in stages and will be available in all areas supporting AI Mode, including the US, India, and the UK.
Through this update, users can upload documents such as lecture material, work reports, or other length texts to AI Mode and request automatic summary.
In addition, users can also ask further questions which will later be answered by Google by comparing the contents of the document with the information available on the internet.
"For example, you can upload PDF slides from your psychology lectures and ask further questions to deepen your understanding beyond the main course material," Google wrote in its announcement.
Google said the answer from AI Mode would include a reference link to deepen your understanding.
