JAKARTA Google added a new feature to the Chrome application. Now, the browser can display reviews when users visit e-commerce sites for shopping.

Currently, the store review feature is only available to Chrome users in the US. With this feature, users can confirm whether the stores they visit are right and what is the shopping experience of others.

"(This feature was launched) to make your online shopping experience safer and more efficient," Google said in a statement, quoted on Tuesday, July 29. Google also explains the use of data from this feature.

Shop reviews take advantage of data from Google Shopping and websites visited. The feature also takes popular reviews from other websites 'to provide insight' for users when they want to shop on e-commerce sites.

To access this feature, users only need to tap the icon on the left of the web address. When tapped, a small window will appear with a Shop Review description. The feature will display the original summary and review of the customers.

"Descriptions will include topics such as customer service, product quality, shipping, prices, and returns, so you can understand what your shopping experience expects from a glimpse of," explains Google.

Google also added that this feature is powered by Artificial Intelligence (AI). It is not yet known when this feature will be available in other countries, including Indonesia.

The English, Chinese, Japanese, Arabic, and French versions are automatically generated by the AI. So there may still be inaccuracies in translating, please always see Indonesian as our main language. (system supported by DigitalSiber.id)
