Dying Light Launch Delay Developer: The Beast Postponed Until September 19

Techland has officially announced that the release of the Dying Light: The Beast will be postponed over the next four weeks, from its initial launch schedule on August 22, to September 19, 2025.

In an announcement on its official website, the developer revealed that this decision to postpone it was taken to give additional time for technical refinement and ensure that the game was released in the best quality.

"Our goal from the start was to make Dying Light: The Beast the best Dying Light game we've ever released. To fulfill that promise, we decided to postpone the release date to September 19, 2025 to give extra time for the final refinement process," wrote the developer.

The development team also expressed its gratitude for the extraordinary enthusiasm of the community. More than 150 preview reviews released by journalists and content creators showed a positive response, calling this game a tense 'survival horror', 'very exciting,' even 'seeded games' in 2025.'

This delay is aimed at perfecting various important elements, such as balancing gameplay, improving user interfaces (UI), improving animation and physics quality, as well as adding cinematic details and final effects.

Techland said the additional four weeks would make a huge difference between the 'good' and 'extraordinary' games. " Even though the release schedule has been postponed, Techland promises to continue providing regular updates throughout the summer, including demonstrations that can be played at gamescom 2025.

Starting next week, the developer also promised to share an update on the game's gore feature, and you'll be back with your best friend, Bober theten.

"We're almost there, so please be patient over the past eight weeks we can't wait until you can free the Beast on September 19," he concluded.
