IOS 26 Public Beta Released This Week, Rumors Of IOS 27 For IPhone Folding Appears

JAKARTA - According to Mark Gurman of Bloomberg, Apple is expected to release the first public beta for iOS 26 this week. In its Power On bulletin, Gurman stated, "All signs suggest that iOS 26 will enter the public beta phase in the coming week."

In a social media post last week, Gurman mentioned that the public beta iOS 26 is likely to be released on or around Wednesday, July 23, 2025. Apple previously announced that the public beta iOS 26 will be available in July, but without specifying specific time.

Along with iOS 26, the public beta for iPadOS 26, macOS 26, tvOS 26, watchOS 26, and the HomePod 26 software are also expected to be released. For the first time, Apple is also planning to offer a public beta for major AirPods firmware updates. However, according to Apple's beta website, there will be no public beta for visionOS 26.

Anyone can register for free as a member of the Apple Beta Software Program to access this public beta for testing. As usual, it is highly recommended to back up the device before installing beta software to avoid problems.

All of these updates are already available in the beta developer version. A few years ago, Apple removed Apple Developer Program membership requirements for $99 per year to access beta developers, but users still needed an Apple Developer account. Even so, the general public is advised to wait for public beta.

In the future, the first rumors about iOS 27 have emerged. According to Gurman, Apple will soon begin the official development of iOS 27, focusing on the software features optimized for the long-rumulated foldable iPhone. The device is expected to launch in the second half of 2026.
