Alert! There Are Fake Ads On YouTube That Can Bring Viruses To Your IPhone

JAKARTA Pop-up' or iPhone 'viral window that appeared in the past is now back in the user's device. Surprisingly, this virus appears as an advertisement in the YouTube app.

This is a very dangerous pop-up. According to a 9to5mac report, the viral pop-up appears as an advertisement for eradicating the virus. In fact, if you tap, the ad will actually add the virus to the user's iPhone.

"Your iPhone is badly damaged by the virus (247)! We detected that your iPhone has been infected with the virus," the ad reads. The Pop-up also includes two buttons that can be tapped, namely Install and Cancel.

This ad appears to make users panic and immediately tap on the ad. After that, users will be directed to download the repair app. This application actually becomes the real virus.

This worrying pop-up has begun to be highlighted by a number of people, one of which is VP Threat Intelligence at Infoblox Renbal Burton. He admitted that he was surprised and questioned how such a virus could escape.

Moreover, Apple is known for its very strong and difficult to penetrate security. Burton also questioned why this ad was able to escape YouTube's security checks. Until now, it is not known how the ads can appear.

Scams like this may be overlooked by some people, but not for the elderly. They are often the victim of the spread of the virus like this, especially since the number of YouTube viewers over the age of 55 is increasing rapidly.

To avoid the virus being downloaded, never click on a link or download the recommended app. The iPhone will not be infected with the virus this way. The message is just a trick to make you panic.
