JAKARTA - Google Gemini on Android is now equipped with the built-in Song Search feature. When the user starts searching for the song, Gemini will open the full screen display and ask the user to play, sing, or mute the song they want to search for. However, this feature is still not available in person and is fully integrated. Once the search process is complete, the results will be displayed in the Google app.
If you've been in a situation where you can't remember the songs you've heard, now Gemini on Android can be the solution. When it was first launched, Gemini didn't bring along features from Google Assistant like Song Search. Previously, Gemini would only answer, "I can't recognize the song that's currently playing." However, now that has changed.
Gemini can now help users recognize music with the Song Search feature. The 9to5Google team was the first to find out that Gemini had added this feature. With the latest update, Gemini is starting to feel like a complete Android assistant.
To use this feature, just say 'What song is this?' or What song is this?'. After that, Gemini will display the full screen display and ask users to sing, sound, or play the song in question. When AI listens, a pulsed ball will appear as an indicator of the search process.
Song search results will be displayed in the Google app, with a note at the bottom of the screen that reads, Suitable song will be opened on Google Search. Tap close to cancel.

Even so, this feature is not completely built-in. The user experience is still not as smooth as the Now Playing feature in Pixel, which can recognize songs automatically without internet connection. On the other hand, this new Gemini feature requires an online connection and has not been directly integrated into the system.
For now, the song search feature at Gemini is only available on Android. There is no information on whether this feature will be present on iOS. On the other hand, a new report states that Google is developing something called Gemini Space, which is predicted to be the latest and more sophisticated version of Pixel's At a Glance' feature.
