JAKARTA US President Donald Trump extended the time limit for divestment rules against TikTok for three times. This extension received a positive response from the video platform.
In its official blog, TikTok appreciates the extension of Trump's deadline. According to him, the ban on the operation of TikTok in the US which has been postponed again is a form of support from the American leader.
"We are grateful for President Trump's leadership and support in ensuring that TikTok continues to be available to more than 170 million American users and 7.5 million US businesses that rely on the platform," TikTok said, quoted on Friday, June 20.
TikTok did not explain what kind of decision they would make to stay in the US over the next few years. The platform simply states that it continues to work with Vice President JD Vance over these divestment rules.
