SpaceX's Giant Starship Rocket Explodes Before 10th Flying Test

SpaceX's Starship rocket exploded at SpaceX's test site on June 18. This explosion is known to have occurred when SpaceX was preparing for its tenth test flight.

After the explosion occurred, SpaceX made a statement on social media X. The company said that the explosion did not cause casualties because 'all personnel are safe and protected'. SpaceX also insists there is no danger to the surrounding population.

The company owned by Elon Musk has also carried out a post-explosion investigation. In the results of the initial analysis, the Starship explosion occurred due to the failure of a 'pressure tank known as COPV, or a wrapped composite pressure vessel' located at the back.

Although there were no casualties from this explosion, SpaceX acknowledged that the explosion caused damage in the area around the test site. Fortunately, the area around the launch site had been vacated before the incident occurred.

Some time ago, the Federal Aviation Agency (FAA) announced that the next Starship test flight could be carried out as early as June 29. However, there is a possibility that this launch schedule will decline.

This happened because SpaceX needed to solve the problems that had occurred in the Starship section. There has been no further statement, either from SpaceX or from Elon Musk, regarding the tenth Starship trial date.

Meanwhile, in a recent post, Musk did not seem to have a problem with the explosion. He called the explosion before the trial a 'goresan'. This post, which underestimated the Starship explosion, was heavily criticized by users X.
