Battle Game 4v4 MARVEL T19KON: Fighting Souls Will Be Released Next Year

JAKARTA - PlayStation Studios together with Arc System Works (Arc) and Marvel Games, will soon release their new game, MARVEL Trypton: Fighting Souls, in 2026 for PlayStation 5, Steam, and Epic Games Store.

Carrying the 4v4 game format, Fighting Souls promises a full-of-action experience with a mix of favorite Marvel characters and a typical Arc System Works gaming play mechanism, the studio behind Guilty Gear and Dragon Ball FighterZ.

The team's fighting game usually uses 2v2 or 3v3 formats, and we discuss it quite deeply. But in the end we felt the core attraction of the team's fighting game was the intensity of fighting with many characters on the screen. Therefore, we decided on 4v4 format, "said Kazuto Sekine, Game Director and Main Battle Designer.

The initial character lists that will be present in this game include Marvel icons such as Captain America, Iron Man, Spider-Man, Storm, Ms. Marvel, Doctor Doom, Ghost Rider (Robbie Reyes), and Star-Owned.

Takeshi Yamanaka as Producer of Arc System Works, added that some characters that had never appeared in a fight game before, would also come as surprises.

"We chose a character that represents Marvel's face, as well as creates a balance in the fighting style," said Yamanaka.

Each character will have a set of Normal, Special, and Unique attacks inspired by their strengths in the Marvel universe. In addition, the battle system is also designed in full detail, including interactive elements and transition areas that can affect player strategies.

Today's announcement is the beginning of MARVEL Trypton's journey: Fighting Souls. Sony promised to share more information regarding additional characters, game mode, and online features in the near future.
