JAKARTA - Tencent Cloud and PT GoTo Gojek Tokopedia Tbk (GoTo Group) announced the successful migration of the GoTo On-Demand Services system to the Tencent Cloud data center in Jakarta.

Implemented in conditions across countries and multi-clouds, this migration involved more than 1,000 microservices (microservices), and was successfully completed in just 4 hours 54 minutes an hour ahead of the planned schedule.

This migration process uses the latest migration technology, which allows seamless switching of active systems between the Tencent Cloud Data Center and servers.

This migration is an important part of GoTo's massive data migration initiative, and is one of the largest and most complex cloud relocations ever conducted in Southeast Asia.

"Through close cooperation with Tencent Cloud to strengthen our local infrastructure, we can provide reliable experience for users and build easier-to-develop platforms," GoTo Group President Director Patrick Walujo said in a statement on Thursday, June 5.

While GoTo Group believes its data is stored in Tencent Cloud, Senior Vice President Tencent Cloud International Poshu Yeung is committed to supporting the GoTo engineering team through advanced cloud technology, to ensure a safe transitional process.

"We are proud to be able to support GoTo in expanding its services and strengthening data sovereignty through local cloud solutions," Yeung added.
