JAKARTA - Reddit launched a major update on the profile settings, which allows users to set the visibility of their posts and comments based on the following subreddit.
Called "Content and Activity", this new feature will help users to more easily manage their presence and control what appears on their Reddit profile.
"This means redditors (reddit users) can participate in the community without sharing their entire posting history and comments on the profile," the company wrote in its official announcement quoted Wednesday, June 4.
In this update, Reddit presents three new visibility options:
Stay Open (Default): All public posts and comments will remain visible on the user's profile.
Hide All: Users can hide all their public activities, including content created directly in the profile.
Select Community Based: Users can choose which communities whose content wants to be displayed on the profile, while activities in other communities remain hidden.
