JAKARTA - Google announced the launch of a new feature that brings Lens' capabilities to YouTube Shorts, although it's still in beta.
This Lens feature on YouTube Shorts will allow users to search for information directly from what they see while watching short videos on the platform.
"In the coming weeks, you'll be able to use Lens to find what you see while watching Shorts," Google wrote in an announcement on its aid site on Friday, May 30.
Google says this new experience will help its users explore the world, behind the short videos they watch.
For example, if you watch a video showing a tourist spot, just pause video and use Google Lens to identify the location and obtain information on the history and culture of the surroundings.
