JAKARTA Anthropic introduced the latest generation Artificial Intelligence (AI) model. The company launched Claude Opus 4 and Claude Sonnet 4 with advanced coding and reasoning standards.
Claude Opus 4 is claimed to be the best coding model in the world. This AI model is capable of carrying out complex tasks and tasks that require long work flow. The reason is, this model is able to work continuously.
"Opus 4 is our strongest model so far and the best modeling in the world," said Anthropic. "This model provides continued performance on long-running tasks that require focused efforts and thousands of steps."
Meanwhile, Claude Sonnet 4 is one of the current leading AI models. Compared to Sonnet 3.7, Sonnet 4's capabilities increased significantly. Therefore, this model is also superior in coding needs.
"This model balances performance and efficiency for cases of internal and external use, with enhanced control capabilities for greater control over implementation," Anthropic said.

Although the two AI models are able to support the work of developers, Anthropic admits that Sonnet 4 cannot match Opus 4's performance in most domains. However, this model successfully offers optimal 'capability and practicality'.
"These models advance our customers' AI strategies as a whole: Opus 4 encourages restrictions on encoding, research, writing, and scientific discoveries, while Sonnet 4 brings high-level performance to daily use cases," Anthropic said.
The company explained that Opus 4 and Sonnet 4 are hybrid models that offer two important modes, namely instant responses and broad thinking for deeper reasoning.
