JAKARTA - Google Cloud Indonesia launched the program "Google for Startups Accelerator Southeast Asia: Indonesia, AI-Focused" to help Indonesian startups develop their products with Generative AI and AI Agectic.

Through a partnership with the Ministry of Communication and Digital Affairs, this program aims to develop 100 potentially high AI startups in Indonesia in the next five years.

According to Country Director, Google Cloud Indonesia Fanly Tanto, Indonesian startups account for more than 1 in 4 participants in the regional Google for Startups Accelerator program.

"57 of these startups are key players in digital economy today in Indonesia. What is more proud is that the majority of the 70 percent Indonesian unicorns use Google Cloud," said Fanly at the Google Cloud Summit 2025 event on Thursday, May 22.

Fanly also mentioned that in the past five years, Google Cloud has succeeded in supporting 92 thousand workers in Indonesia. This program is expected to be able to provide support to more than 240 thousand other workers.

Meanwhile, Minister of Trade Meutya Hafid also appreciated Google's initiative as a private sector in supporting Indonesia Gold's big vision 2045, which is expected to encourage a sustainable economy in the country.

Registration is currently open to 20 startups in the first batch that will join the first three-month equity-free program. The program will begin in September 2025.
