JAKARTA - If you like to exercise and are an Android user, you can connect the Samsung Health application with Strava to sync fitness data automatically.

Android

This feature allows activities recorded at Samsung Health, such as route information, types of activity, distance, time, and calories to be synchronized with Samsung Health.

To do so, Android users only need to open the Samsung Health application, then select the elliptic icon in the upper right corner of the main screen, then enter the Settings menu.

At the bottom of the Settings page, users can enable Strava integration through the Service menu. Once the account is connected, synchronization runs in two directions.

Activity data from Strava, including from third-party apps connected to Strava, will enter Samsung Health. On the other hand, GPS-based activity from Samsung Health will automatically appear on the user's Strava account.

Meanwhile, activities without GPS data will not be synchronized automatically, but can still be shared with Strava in the form of manual uploads with statistical images.

Apple

As for Apple users, the Strava app also supports Apple Watch with watchOS 9.0 and above and iOS 16.0 and above. To use it, users need to download the Strava app on the iPhone, then install it on Apple Watch via the "My Watch" menu.

Once the app opens on Apple Watch, users will be asked to legitimize access via iPhone. Strava on Apple Watch allows for live activity recording without having to carry an iPhone.

During activities, users can monitor time, speed, distance, and heart rate, and receive audio feedback in real-time.

The activity that has been recorded will automatically synchronize to the Strava account when the device is within the reach of the iPhone.
