JAKARTA WhatsApp is developing the TL;DR feature, abbreviation from too long, didn't read, which is supported by Meta AI. This feature can later help users in summarizing messages too long.

As a popular messaging platform, WhatsApp is usually used for chatting. Users can discuss work with their colleagues or talk to close friends. When conversations get serious, usually messages will be long.

For some users, this may not be a problem. They can read the message bubble one by one and reply to the long message too. However, some other users don't like messages like this.

Apart from spending a lot of time reading his messages, they may be busy enough to read his messages one by one. Therefore, WhatsApp is developing a feature that can help users understand messages quickly.

Based on the WABetaInfo findings, WhatsApp beta with version 2.25.15.12 in the Android version is developing a summary feature supported by Meta AI. This feature will appear when users receive certain new messages.

This feature called Meringkas with Meta AI will be seen at the top of the unreaded message. If you tap the button, WhatsApp will summarize the message and provide the summary results privately.

This means that the sender of the message will not know that what they wrote has been summarized by Artificial Intelligence (AI). Unfortunately, it is not clear what Meta AI looks like when presenting the summary results.

Although this summary is guaranteed to be private and will not be shared with any party, messages from users who activate Advanced Chat Privacy will not be summarized. It is not yet known when this Meta AI summary will be extended to all users.

The English, Chinese, Japanese, Arabic, and French versions are automatically generated by the AI. So there may still be inaccuracies in translating, please always see Indonesian as our main language. (system supported by DigitalSiber.id)
