JAKARTA - Google officially launched a new feature called Simplify in the Google app for iOS, to help users understand complex or technical text while browsing the web.
"When you're trying to learn something new on the web, you might find content that uses jargon or a technical concept you don't understand," Google wrote in its announcement.
This feature leverages the sophistication of artificial intelligence (AI) to simplify dense languages on the web, becoming easier to understand without having to leave the webpage.
To use the Simplify feature, users simply highlight the text section that is considered elusive, then tap on the upcoming Simplify icon.
Within seconds, Google will display a simpler version of the text directly on the same page, so users don't need to leave the page and can still focus.
You'll see a new and simpler version of the text, which helps you understand the new concept quickly so you can keep reading, "explained Google further.

Simplify itself is designed with a new approach developed by Google Research, and uses Gemini to make complicated text more digestable, without losing any important details.
In research testing, Google claims that people find simplified text much more useful than original complex text, and make information easier to remember.
The English, Chinese, Japanese, Arabic, and French versions are automatically generated by the AI. So there may still be inaccuracies in translating, please always see Indonesian as our main language. (system supported by DigitalSiber.id)
