Tony Blair Institute Fully Supports Indonesia's Digital Transformation

JAKARTA - Tony Blair with the Tony Blair Institute (TBI) are committed to supporting the Ministry of Communication and Digital Affairs in carrying out digital transformation in Indonesia.

Indonesia Country Director for Tony Blair Institute for Global Change (TBI)Indonesia, Shuhaela Fabya Haqim expressed full support for TBI, in a meeting with the Minister of Trade, Meutya Hafid, Deputy Minister of Communication and Trade, Nezar Patria, and other Director General ranks.

"We here from the Tony Blair Institute will support the role of Komdigi to be able to do what has been discussed. We fully support the central role of the Ministry of Communication and Digital Affairs," Shuhaela said on Monday, April 21 in Jakarta.

Meanwhile, Menkomdigi Meutya Hafid confirmed that his first meeting with Tony Blair as Minister of Communication and Digital was still in its early stages, and would still continue in subsequent discussions.

"Tony Blair Institute is trying to lead Indonesia, to talk about how digital transformation in Indonesia can run faster and hopefully it will be ready to be given input or cooperation," said Meutya.

The discussion of this collaboration cannot be conveyed in detail. However, Meutya emphasized that this collaboration will include infrastructure development, human resource development (HR), and artificial intelligence (AI) technology.

"What we discussed earlier together was that the coverage was very broad, including in infrastructure development, then human development, then breakthroughs from new technologies including Artificial Intelligence," he said.

Not only that, this collaboration may also include a digital-based social assistance scheme (bansos), launched by President Prabowo Subianto and the National Economic Council (DEN).
