JAKARTA - PT XLSMART Telecom Sejahtera Tbk (XLSMART) today officially established as an integrated telecommunications entity, the result of the merger of businesses from PT XL Axiata Tbk, PT Smartfren Telecom Tbk, and PT Smart Telecom.

After being approved by the Ministry of Communication and Digital Affairs on Thursday, April 17, Minister of Home Affairs Meutya Hafid revealed a number of requirements that must be met by XLSMART.

The requirements are the construction of 8,000 Base Transceiver Stations (BTS), increasing download speed to 16 percent by 2029, and also increasing access to digital services in more than 175,000 schools, 8,000 health service facilities and 42,000 government offices throughout Indonesia.
