Komdigi Calls Internet Speed Ahead Of Eid Reaching 50 Mbps

JAKARTA - To maintain the quality of digital communication during the Lebaran 2025 homecoming period, the Ministry of Communication and Digital Affairs has lowered 30 units of Radio Frequency System (SFR) cars to various strategic locations.

In addition, 1,500 personnel were also deployed at various strategic points to support the smooth running of telecommunications during the Lebaran 2025 homecoming period.

The Minister of Communication and Digital Affairs, Meutya Hafid. emphasized that this step was taken to ensure that signal security and frequency were maintained, especially in main transportation routes such as Gambir Station.

"We ensure that cellular operators provide optimal complaint services and train travel frequency is safe without interference. Through frequency monitoring with our frequency cars, thank God the network is ensured to be safe," said Meutya.

During a visit and checking network readiness conducted at Gambir Station on Wednesday, March 26, Meutya revealed that the internet speed is approximately 30 Mbps to 50 Mbps.

In addition to the fast internet, at Gambir Station and several other locations, the Ministry of Communication and Digigi also provides integrated posts involving cellular operators such as Telkomsel, XL, Smartfren, and Indosat, to monitor network quality and handle customer complaints.

"If internet speed drops below 2 Mbps, we will immediately intervene online through the ticketing system," said Director General of Digital Infrastructure of the Minister of Communication and Industry, Wayan Toni Supriyanto.

The Ministry of Communication and Industry will also ensure that frequency monitoring services will remain active until D+8 Lebaran. This step is expected to make going home this year safer, comfortable, and smooth, especially in terms of digital communication.
