New Feature On Access By KAI: Female Passengers Can Choose To Sit With Women

JAKARTA - PT Kereta Api Indonesia (Persero) has launched a new feature in the Access by KAI application, which allows passengers, especially women, to be more comfortable in choosing their seats.

Through this new feature, passengers who buy train tickets can find out which seats are occupied by women or men. So they can determine the seat according to their respective comforts.

KAI Vice President Public Relations Anne Purba stated that the presence of this feature is one of KAI's efforts in paying attention to the needs of female customers.

With this feature, female passengers can feel more comfortable during the trip. We hope this innovation can increase a sense of security and provide a more enjoyable travel experience," Anne said in a written statement quoted on Sunday, March 23.

Not only through the Access by KAI application, customers who buy tickets at the station counter can now ask officers, if they want to sit next to women.

In the Access by KAI application, the seat occupied by male passengers will be gray, while the seat occupied by women will be pink or pink.

This feature can only be used by Access members who order tickets for female passengers and applies to all intercity trains, not valid for local trains.

If in one order there are male passengers, this feature will not be displayed. However, KAI still ensures the protection of customers' personal data according to applicable policies.

Anne revealed that the feature was motivated by the need to increase a sense of security and comfort for female passengers. Thus, KAI is committed to providing inclusive and responsive services to customer needs.
