JAKARTA - Amazon introduces Alexa+, the next generation artificial intelligence (AI) assistant, which is backed by a generating AI and designed to be more communicative, smarter, more personal in helping you work things out.

"With the 600 million Alexa devices currently in the world, the latest advances in a generating AI allow us to reorganize our experience of making customer life better and easier every day," Amazon's SVP Device & Service, totaling Panay, said in a broadcast on its official website.

Panay says that Alexa+ will help you learn, keep your life on track. In addition, summarizing complicated topics, and being able to talk about almost everything.

Alexa+ can even manage and protect your home, make reservations, and help you track or find items. Even this app can enjoy new artists, to help you search, find, or buy almost all items online.

The conversation with Alexa+ feels broad and natural. Either you talk with thoughts that are not yet fully formed, use everyday expressions, or explore complicated ideas, "explained Panay.

Alexa+ is designed with Alexa's advanced architecture based on the advanced large language model (LLM) available on Amazon Bedrock, so it is claimed to be able to take action. Even Alexa+ is capable of regulating tens of thousands of services and devices, which have never been done on this scale.

Alexa+ also introduces agent capabilities, which allow Alexa to explore the internet independently to complete tasks on your behalf, behind the scenes.

"For example, you need to improve the oven, Alexa+ will be able to explore the web to find relevant service providers, authenticate, set improvements, and come back to let you know that the fixes are complete," he said.

Alexa is already available at your home, office, and car. Customers can also access Alexa+ on new mobile apps available on the Apple App Store and Google Play Store, and a new browser-based experience on Alexa.com.

Alexa+ is priced at 19.99 US dollars or around Rp. 326 thousand per month. However, all Amazon Prime members will get it for free.

Alexa+ will begin rolling out in the US in the next few weeks over the initial access period, and will then be launched in stages over the coming months.
