Komdigi And BSSN Agree To Accelerate Handling Cyber Problems

JAKARTA - Head of the newly inaugurated National Cyber and Crypto Agency (BSSN), Nugroho Sulistyo Budi visited the Ministry of Communication and Digital Affairs office on Friday, February 21.

During the visit to meet with the Minister of Trade, Meutya Hafid, Nugroho emphasized that he would strengthen his collaboration between BSSN and the Ministry of Communication and Trade in the cybersecurity sector.

"This is our first step after we were sworn in yesterday. And my first step is to go to the Minister, because he has become the main partner of the BSSN with the most strong relationship in terms of work," said Nugraha at the Komdigi office.

In the short term, BSSN and Komdigi will work together in the management of the National Data Center (PDN), implementing the One Data Indonesia program, and protecting personal data.

"We have synergies in relation to PDN, then synergize with the strengthening of one data, social and economic. We have to do many things, including things related to personal data protection," he added.

Meanwhile, Minister of Trade Meutya Hafid also welcomed the visit of the Head of BSSN, and is committed to improving synergy and communication from both parties.

According to him, cybersecurity issues are very massive. And learning from the past, Meutya hopes that BSSN and Komdigi can handle cyber problems very quickly.

"Learning from yesterday's PR-PR, what we have to improve further, one of which is at the coordination level. Cyber crime is very fast, and because the current rate of cyber crime is also demanding our speed in handling it," he said.

"Well, the speed of handling certainly requires more fluid and faster coordination. What we have agreed on earlier will run that in the future the synergy will be even stronger, at least in terms of communication later at the leadership level, we have to be ready 24 hours if suddenly things happen that need attention," added Meutya.

Through this meeting, Nugraha hopes to carry out the roles, duties, and functions of BSSN according to the direction of the Ministry of Communication and Trade and Synergy between the two parties can be held optimally.
