Siri With Apple Intelligence Coming To IOS 18.5 In May 2025

JAKARTA - Apple has finally become increasingly serious about developing artificial intelligence for their mobile devices. One of Siri's most anticipated features with Apple Intelligence, which is promised to be much smarter and contextual than the previous version.

However, a recent report from Mark Gurman (Bloomberg) states that this feature will experience a bit of delay. Instead of attending iOS 18.4 which is scheduled for release in April 2025, Siri with Apple Intelligence will likely be available in the iOS 18.5 update in May 2025.

As usual, Apple conducted internal trials of new features before launching them to the public. These tests include laboratory simulations to real-world testing by their own employees.

According to Gurman's report, the AI feature on Siri is still not working consistently, so Apple needs more time to improve it. As a result, Siri's major update should be pushed back to iOS 18.5.

In comparison:

- iOS 18.4 will arrive in April 2025, but will not bring a new Siri.- iOS 18.5 is scheduled for release in May 2025, likely to be Siri's debut with Apple Intelligence.- iOS 19 is stable expected to release in August 2025, with the beta program starting June 2025.

Siri's New Feature

Apple promises that Siri with Apple Intelligence will be smarter in understanding the context of conversations and providing more accurate answers. Some major improvements are expected: Content Analysis Siri can understand the content of the screen and provide context-based recommendations. Better Request Processing Siri will be smarter in answering complex questions. Interactions with the Siri app can execute tasks in users' favorite apps.

Although Apple is a bit late in adopting AI compared to its competitors such as Google and Samsung, the launch of Apple Intelligence is expected to bring a better digital assistant experience.

If everything goes according to plan, May 2025 will be an important moment for the iPhone ecosystem with Siri being smarter.
