IPhone SE 4 With Apple Modem, Face ID, And USB-C May Be Launched Next Week

JAKARTA - After years of rumors circulating, Apple seems to be preparing to redesigned iPhone SE 4. Mark Gurman of Bloomberg reports that this latest iPhone entry level could be announced next week.

The company plans to announce the device early next week, before it finally goes on sale later this month, according to sources familiar with the matter.

Gurman added that he didn't expect Apple to hold a special event for the launch of the iPhone SE 4. This shows that the redesigned iPhone SE will likely be the only new product released next week.

Apple is expected to change the shape of the iPhone SE to a new design, remove the Home button and switch to full screen design with Face ID and USB-C replacing the Lightning port.

The new iPhone SE is expected to use the A18 chip and adopt a design similar to the iPhone 14.

The third generation iPhone SE is currently still based on the design of the iPhone 8 from 2017. Apple is also expected to support Apple Intelligence on this new iPhone SE, join the iPhone 15 Pro, 15 Pro Max, and the entire iPhone 16 line.

Perhaps the biggest change will occur in the internal part. Apple is expected to move from Qualcomm modem to homemade chips for cellular connectivity. This will be the first time for Apple products.

The launch of the iPhone SE 4 next week is a bit surprising, as previously many predicted its release to take place in March. Apple is also reportedly working on a number of other new products, including the M4-powered MacBook Air and the 11th-generation iPad
