Google Adds AI Feature To Workspace, Subscription Prices Become Cheaper

JAKARTA - Google announced that it has integrated the generative AI feature into the Google Workspace Business and Enterprise subscription packages at no additional cost.

In its announcement, Google said that this step aims to help businesses from various scales in adopting AI technology to increase productivity and work efficiency.

"By waiving the add-on fee to access the latest generative AI capabilities, we simplify our package and service prices to bring Google AI added value to all Google Workspace customers," the search giant wrote.

AI capabilities in Google Workspace are already available for Workspace Business customers and later this month for Enterprise customers. Here are some of the flagship features:

Gemini in Workspace: Gemini will help you summarize, compile, and find information in emails, chats, and files. Gemini can also be friends exchanging ideas and inspirational sources. Gemini can even record important points, improve audio and video quality, and summarize the heart of the conversation in meetings.

Gemini Advanced: Gemini Advanced can help deal with complicated projects including coding, research, and data analysis, and you can also create Gems, which works like an AI expert to help do tasks.

NotebookLM Plus: NotebookLM Plus can help you understand complicated topics, get a summary of important points instantly and, saves Audio that you can listen to like podcasts.

Workspace Business Standard, which previously paid 32 US dollars (IDR 523,000) per user per month, now only needs to pay 14 US dollars (IDR 229 thousand) per user per month with the AI feature included.

This price change applies to new customers when they start subscribing, while older customers will get adjustments on March 17, 2025 or during the extension of their annual package.
