JAKARTA - Microsoft announced a series of new partnerships in India's artificial intelligence (AI) sector, to increase their competitiveness with other tech giants such as Google and Amazon.
Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella revealed that they have established a cooperation agreement with five major organizations in the country, which includes railways, healthcare, financial services, manufacturing, and education.

One of the collaborations that Microsoft announced was with the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology India. In this collaboration, Microsoft will contribute to the IndiaAI Mission Datasets platform to support data collection and synthetic creation.
Microsoft will also train 500,000 people in AI technology by 2026, establishing an AI Excellence Center called AI Catalysts to drive AI innovation in rural areas, and establish an AI laboratory in 20 national skill training institutes.
In addition, during his visit to India, Nadella also revealed that Microsoft plans to invest $3 billion to expand its artificial intelligence and cloud services in India.
