Tim Cook: Health Products Become Apple's Biggest Contribution In The Future

JAKARTA Apple is known as a company that often creates revolutionary products, ranging from hardware, software, to service. However, Apple's question of Apple's "next major innovation" continues to be in the public spotlight and Wall Street every year. Apple CEO Tim Cook has long revealed the answer: health.

In a recent interview with WIRED, Cook expressed his belief that Apple's biggest contribution to the future is in the health sector. "If we look far ahead and turn to the past, Apple's biggest contribution will be in the health area. That's what I believe," Cook said.

Wearables as the Main Pillar for Apple, health cannot be separated from its wearable product lines. Currently, Apple has three main categories of wearable devices:

Apple Watch has become a market leader with health features such as heart rate detection, blood oxygen levels monitoring, and tracking of physical activity. Meanwhile, the latest generation AirPods Pro is now equipped with health features such as fitness measurements through hearing sensors.

Apple's newest product, Vision Pro, which is still in its early stages, also shows great potential to support health. With Mindfulness apps on VisionOS and features like Live Captions, Vision Pro is expected to be an important tool for mental health and accessibility.

Future Health Innovations Apple's focus on health makes its wearable device more than just an accessory. With the ability to save lives, increase hearing, and support fitness, this device becomes even more irreplaceable.

Cook also stressed that health technology will continue to develop in the future, including a possible new feature in Vision Pro designed for the experience of Apple Fitness+. "We are still in the early stages of this big ambition," he added.

In the next decade, Apple has the potential to turn its wearable devices into essential products that support public health. This strategy also reinforces Cook's view that health is Apple's biggest contribution to the world.
