JAKARTA - Starting January 1, 2025, WhatsApp will no longer be supported on old Android phones running KitKat Android operations or previous versions.
Meta says that the termination of WhatsApp support is because these phones do not have supporting hardware capabilities for the feature and function of the application that continues to grow.
Moreover, Meta is currently focusing on developing artificial intelligence (AI)-based features, thus requiring more advanced hardware than newer ones to run them.
