JAKARTA Threads is now making it easier for users to move while browsing the homepage. If previously users had to click one by one feed, now they only need to shift the screen.
This is a simple update that X, formerly known as Twitter, has had for years. Many users prefer the move to shift the screen in exploring the feed because the user's finger doesn't need to move too far.
Instagram chief Adam Mosseri announced that this update will be available to all Threads users on Android and iOS. This feature will be released for several days until users in various parts of the world can access this update.
"We launched a new Threads design that keeps your feed visible on the home screen - it will be available on Android today and on iOS in the coming days," Mosseri said via his personal Threads account.
This new capability is not limited to two Threads-made feeds, namely For You and Following. If users have added custom feeds on their homepage, the ability to shift can also be done in various feeds that users create.

"Following now is just sliding, and you can easily shift between any custom feed. This may look like a small change, but it will make app navigation much easier," Mosseri explained.
The ability to shift screens in feeds isn't the only feature that Threads releases for its homepage. Some time ago, Mosseri also announced that they would change the algorithm in the For You feed to maximize interaction with friends.
Just like the algorithm that has been implemented by X, Threads wants to show more posts from the account followed in Threads. Users will still get posts from accounts that are not followed, but will not be as many as before.
