JAKARTA Apple is again expanding the availability of Tap to Pay services on the iPhone. After presenting its services in five European countries, Tap to Pay can now be accessed in New Zealand.

The company led by Tim Cook said it had collaborated with many parties. They partner with payment platforms, app developers, and payment networks in the country.

That way, thousands of traders in New Zealand can receive contactless payment systems from iPhones. Users can also pay easily through Apple Pay or other digital wallets supported by partners.

"With Tap to Pay on the iPhone, traders can accept contactless payments through the iOS application that supports the latest iPhone Xs or iOS version," Apple said on its official website.

As the name implies, Tap to Pay is designed to make it easier for both parties to transact. This service utilizes NFC technology so that additional hardware is not needed.

All payment platforms and application developers can integrate Tap to Pay through the iOS version of the application. For now, the main payment platforms in New Zealand that support this payment method are Ayden, ANZ Bank, Stripe, Windcave, and Worldline.

Apple emphasizes that Tap to Pay transactions are very secure because they always prioritize privacy. Customer payment data is protected with advanced technology that can keep Apple Pay private and secure.

"All transactions made using Tap to Pay on the iPhone are encrypted and processed using the Secure Element, and Apple doesn't know what it's buying or who bought it," Apple explained.
