JAKARTA A consortium led by ICEYE, a Finnish satellite maker, partnered with Lockheed Martin to advance space technology using Artificial Intelligence (AI).
According to ICEYE's statement, the partnership includes the development of mobile ISR cells, disruptive capabilities such as AI-based analytics, advanced analytics, and high performance SAR imaging for all weather and light conditions.
This developed technology can be used to observe challenging Arctic weather and light conditions on the North Side of NATO. That way, this sophisticated and efficient space technology can support modern military needs.
This partnership was made specifically to support the defense and aerospace industries. The hope is that ICEYE and other companies can support the Finnish Defense Force as military forces with the latest aerospace technology.
Pekka Laurila, Chief Strategy Officer & Co-founder of ICEYE, said that the collaboration with the consortium and Lockheed Martin is in line with the company's commitments. ICEYE strives to provide the best technology to maintain the country's capabilities.
"This partnership is in line with our ambitions," Pekka said. "(we will) ensure that the Finnish and Allied Defense Forces can be equipped with the important knowledge and capabilities needed to maintain a strategic advantage."
