New Messenger Features Can Create HD Video Calls, AI Background, And More

JAKARTA - Meta Platform Inc. launched several feature-to-call updates on the Messenger app, which is known as the features that users are most interested in.

First, users who make Messenger calls can now use the Messenger call background with a unique image generated by AI from Meta AI.

To start creating personalized AI backgrounds, tap the effect icon in the video calling sidebar, then select the 'backplay'.

Second, Meta also introduces HD video calls, background noise dampers, and voice isolation to help you make clearer and higher-quality calls directly from Messenger.

HD calls will be enabled by default for video calls made via WiFi. While background noise damping and voice isolation can be enabled via call settings in Messenger.

In addition, similar to regular phone calls, Meta also launches the ability to leave audio or video voice messages when your friends can't answer.

When the call doesn't answer, tap the 'Record Message' button to leave audio messages for an unanswered audio call or video message for an unanswered video call.

Finally, now you can also ask Siri to help you make calls and send messages wherever you are. Try to say like: Hey Siri, send a message to Cassandra in Messenger and then say what the message says.
