JAKARTA - YouTube continues to roll out new design and feature updates announced last month, including the refresher of icons at the bottom bar of the app which is now widely available on Android devices.
Although the YouTube navigation layout has not changed, four of the five icons have been updated with a new design. This change includes thicker lines and more rounded corners, although the difference is not too flashy due to the small icon size.
This update comes via server-side update on YouTube version 19.45 for Android. This new icon is also active in the web version, although it is not yet visible on iOS devices.
It is not yet known whether this new iconography will also be applied to YouTube Music and YouTube TV in the future.
