JAKARTA Apple has put its focus on making Vision cheaper since the beginning of this year. Initially, Apple planned to release its headset next year, but now plans have changed.
Ming-Chi Kuo, an analysis of Apple devices for more than a decade, revealed that the iPhone developer has postponed Vision's launch schedule. The reason is, Apple will take a few more years to prepare for the headset.
Kuo explained that Vision production will be postponed until 2027 so that this device will not be launched in the same year as the second generation Vision Pro. Previously, news emerged that Vision Pro with the latest chipset would be released next year.
"The cheaper production Vision Pro has been postponed after 2027 for a while. This means the only Apple device installed on Apple's head by 2025 is Vision Pro with an M5 chipset," Kuo said via platform X.

Kuo added that this delay is related to the sale of his latest generation of spatial computer technology. Sales of the first Vision Pro are not very good because the price is too expensive and the device is considered to still have many shortcomings.
Apple is trying to overcome these various shortcomings in the second generation Vision Pro and the first Vision. Although Vision Pro will adopt an M5 chipset with more advanced features, this device may not sell well if it is launched alongside a cheaper version.
"Reducing prices will not help create successful use cases. This is similar to the HomePod situation even after launching a cheaper mini HomePod, Apple's smart speakers failed to become the main product," explained Kuo.
