JAKARTA Not long ago, YouTube Music tested the thumbnail image upload feature through computer storage memory. After being tested, this feature was finally widely launched starting Monday, October 21.

Quoting from 9to5google, the feature has not changed since the trial some time ago. If you want to upload thumbnails to the desired playlist, users only need to open the YouTube Music website via a browser.

Next, open the desired playlist and click the pencil icon that appears in the lower left corner of the thumbnail. If the device's internal folder or library is open, the user can select the photo you want to use as a part of the thumbnail.

Before uploading, users will be asked to crop the image according to the specified size, which is 2x2. After that, the playlist thumbnail will change. If the pencil icon is tapped again, YouTube Music users can see the Remove Custom Image option.

When this option is selected, the uploaded image will be deleted and the playlist will display the default thumbnail. Keep in mind that this capability does not appear in the mobile app so users who want to change thumbnails must open the YouTube Music web.

On October 15, YouTube launched many new features, but they only released one new feature for its music streaming platform. Several other features were launched for video platforms, such as updated miniplayers and sleep time controllers.

YouTube also features a view of the latest playback speed and the ability to create custom thumbnails using personal images or artificial Artificial Intelligence (AI). This feature has been launched since last year for YouTube Music.
