JAKARTA - The mathematical learning application, Smartick Indonesia will be launched at the end of November 2024.

With personal and fun learning features, the app is designed to help kids master mathematics in a more attractive way.

Smartick Indonesia CEO Galih Sulistyaningra said that this launch is expected to answer educational challenges in Indonesia, provide effective learning alternatives, and support the development of children's academics throughout the archipelago.

According to Galih departing from the unrest about the challenges of education faced by Indonesian children, Smartick Indonesia comes with a vision to help children develop analytical and critical thinking skills, as well as build a strong foundation for the future of children through mathematical abilities.

"We plan to launch in the final quarter of 2024, around November, we will launch Smatrick Indonesia, which will be downloaded and accessible on the Website, Play Store and App Store," he explained.

According to the Smartick Technology Galih itself is designed in Spain and has been used in more than 190 countries in the world such as Latin America, Mexico, Portugal, England and other countries, which have proven to be able to build children's mathematical capabilities.

Meanwhile, Smartick has also been suggested by professors from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, Ryu University, and Johns Hopkins University.

Therefore, Galih hopes that the Smartick Indonesia application can reach 300 intense users by the end of 2024.

Galih explained that mathematics is often considered a frightening subject, viewed as a competition that can only be won by smart children.

Because the uniform learning method that has been implemented can also cause pressure and reduce motivation due to feeling left behind, even though each child has different learning skills and speeds.

Therefore, Galih said that Smartick Indonesia is here to optimize the way Indonesian children learn mathematics by providing adaptive and personalized learning experience, adjusting the ability and rhythm of each child.

"We believe every child has the right to access to learning math that supports them to thrive on their own pace," said Galih.

Galih explained that Smartick Indonesia brings proven technology and adapts it to Indonesian children so that they can learn to be more comfortable and contextual.

With the aim of getting children used to learning mathematics through 15 minutes of practice every day and wanting children to see mathematics as an adventure, not a burden.

"I believe that mathematics is a tool for building character and critical thinking skills. This is the first step towards a better generation," he said.

Similarly, Indonesian Smartick Co-Founder and Co-CEO Barry Cevin said that effective learning requires a holistic approach.

"Mathematics is not just about numbers; it is part of everyday life," he said.

Meanwhile, with the support of parents, educators, and the community, Smartick Indonesia hopes to create significant changes in mathematical education in Indonesia. Together, they are committed to building a generation of critical thinkers that will have a positive impact on society.
